CoolCORE is the first ever feed based low calorie balancer to be available from EquiFeast which also contains Cool, Calm & Collected, specifically designed to provide nutritional and behavioural support for all horses and ponies. CoolCORE is a highly palatable feed balancer designed to be fed 5 days a week.
To get the most out of CoolCORE, it should be fed alongside an unsupplemented fibre and (if required) calorie source. If your horse hasn't used one of our products before, a STARTER pack is required first.

It is important that the rest of the diet s doesn't contain ingredients that conflict with CoolCORE. These include artificial magnesium and many herbal ingredients. * This product does contain some naturally occurring magnesium from the feed ingredients but no artificial magnesium like magnesium oxide, sulphate or chelate.

I have used this product for over 3 years & have generally seen an improvement in my horses behaviour compared to how he was previously. He still has his “moments” so anticipating problems and preventative management also plays a part but I do think he benefits from the calmer. My only issue is the plastic packaging and the fact that every pack contains yet another plastic measuring cup. Please try to reduce the plastic equifeast
My novice eventer is a dream at competitions but at home he was spooky and wired! Hacking is very important to me for my horses fitness and mental wellbeing (and mine too) and I was struggling to get any canter workout of him as we would be zig zagging along, him spooking at any blade of grass or leaf that may of looked less green that the next. This made hacking a chore and not enjoyable. I decided to do the 5 week loading period and see if it made a difference. I noticed a change within 10 days and we could have a lovely enjoyable canter round the fields and then walk on buckle end home. Last autumn he became worse with the change of routine and being clipped but this year, being on CoolCore, he hasn’t been affected at all!
I have tried many Mag based calmers to settle my spooky WB mare when hacking out, nothing worked. This product, although a bit more expensive, has certainly seen an improvement in her behaviour. She is never going to be a laid back horse, but at least I stand a far better chance of getting back in one piece !!
I have seen an improvement in my mare, happier in the stable and less tense to ride. Whether down to Coolcore or now back in work I can not say for sure but I will carry on as too nervous to take her off it now! The customer service help and advice is excellent.
My mare suffers from anxiety which causes tension and I'm constantly worried about her developing ulcers. She is on a fibre based diet which compliments the Cool Core Mag Free. I have tried every calmer on the market all containing magnesium and they make her worse, turning her into a raving lunatic!!! This product works wonders and I now have a very happy mare. I had ran out last time and noticed immediately, however after a couple of days back on it she was back to her laid back self. She is still sharp, that is her nature and still looks at things but without the magnified reaction that everything is a monster thats going to eat her. I wouldn't have said my pony would of been a typical candidate for needing a calmer but having had training from one of your equi feast reps I decided to try my pony on Ccc starter pack as he can be a bit spooky. Having used the starter pack, I decided to go for the mag free cool core balancer as it's got all the vitamins and minerals my pony needs as well as Ccc in it. What a difference! My pony is so focused on me and what I'm asking him in his work since having him Ccc. When I take him out competing he's just so relaxed and performing brilliantly. I love this product! And I'd recommend over any other calmer on the market.
Got this product to see if it would help my mare who was tight and tense,i honestly cant beleive the difference in her,she has muscled up no end as she is now relaxing in her work and working so much better.
