A unique low calorie balancer designed to provide everything required to maintain the health of horses and ponies.

LamiCORE contains EquiFeast's patented VCAL chelated calcium*. Trials suggest it also helps maintain balanced hormone production. In addition LamiCORE contains a full spectrum vitamin and mineral balancer, psyllium to help with insulin/glucose regulation as well as ingredients to support hoofs. Starch and sugar level approx 10%. If you are paranoid about being starch/sugar free use our supplement version LAM Essentials. LamiCORE is Tyrosine free because horses with some metabolic issues don't seem to get on well with tyrosine.

The LamiCORE is designed to be fed five days per week. It can be fed once a day or split over a number of feeds.

LamiCORE is a maintenance product, we recommend that any horse which has not already used a VCAL formulated product is fed LamiCORE STARTER for the first 5 weeks. After using the initial STARTER pack, the price of the "follow on packs" are £20 lower.

This product helps with:
• Behaviour
• Feet
• Coat condition
• Mobility
* Metabolic issues
* Extra Vitamin E for horses with muscle issues

Calcium contributes to normal muscle function, neurotransmission, normal blood clotting, energy yielding metabolism as well as the normal function of digestive enzymes and the process of cell division and specialisation in addition to its recognised requirement for the maintenance of normal teeth and bones*.

* Approved health claim on the EU Register on nutrition and health claims p5-7 of 835.

To get the most out of LamiCORE, it should be fed alongside an un-supplemented fibre and (if required) calorie source. It is important that the rest of the diet s doesn't contain ingredients that conflict with LamiCORE. These include artificial magnesium and many herbal ingredients. To ensure you avoid these we strongly recommend that you send us information about your horse's diet. The easiest way to do this is to fill in our Free Diet Review Form:

Dosage rate for a 550KG horse, 250 grams a day.

* This product does contain some naturally occurring magnesium from the feed ingredients but no artificial magnesium like magnesium oxide, sulphate or chelate.

    Pssm 2 px p4

Posted by Clare on 12th Dec 2023

I tried this having high hopes as I've just got the pssm2/MIM diagnosis px & p4. I know some folks find this fantastic for this condition. But unfortunately my mare wasn't keen on this & her behaviour became really strange. On edge all the time, anxious & not at all like her normal self. Almost spaced out to ride, Persevered 3weeks. Had to take her off it & she's back to normal. She's barefoot, & her feet were good on it though.

    Pebbles

Was having behavioural problems with my coloured cob mare who is 16 and I’ve had her since she was 4. At times she completely lost the plot especially off road! Was on a high magnesium diet which to start with helped but then long term it all started going wrong. She has improved a lot since starting the Equifeast regime….however some days were great others not so, but even those weren’t as bad as she could have been. Her reactions to things certainly are not as severe. At least she is going the right way. So now going on to Coolcore with Tyrosine to see if it just makes her more consistent.

    Lami core

Couldn’t get my pony to eat it at all. Large vol of powder needed every day and as he was on restricted diet I couldn’t feed him a large enough vol of food to hide it in. Really unpalatable

    Oldie with Cushings

Posted by Unknown on 12th Aug 2020

I started using Lamicore for my 26year old horse just prior to his being blood tested for Cushings. He was lethargic, uninterested, had been showing signs of incipient laminitis, with slightly bulgy eyes and fat pads; he'd got a dippy back and fat tummy with bony hauches. Not at all his usual gorgeous self. He usually hates anything added to his feed but he loves this - even refuses a carrot or treat if his feed bowl is available. Within a few days of starting Lamicore he was showing more interest in life and was moving much more happily. He has been on Prascend for two weeks now and the Lamicore seems to be complementing that -he is regaining his topline and moving more energetically and his eyes are less bulgy. I am looking forward to further improvements in the next few weeks.
